William Tyndale, a scholar born in 1494 was burnt in 1536 at the stake because he was a translator of the Bible into English. His last words amidst the fire flames: " Lord, open the King of England's eyes!".  His prayer was answered almost 80 years later when a new king took the throne, after Queen Elizabeth's death. The King James Bible took seven years to organize and much was based on William Tyndale's previous translation work. The same Bible was now both at home and in the church.
William Tyndale um erudito nascido em 1494 foi queimado em 1536 na fogueira por ter sido um dos tradutores da Bíblia. As suas últimas palavras entre as chamas da fogueira: " Deus, abre os olhos do Rei de Inglaterra". A sua oração foi respondida cerca de 80 anos depois quando um novo rei ascendeu ao trono, após a morte da Rainha Isabel I. A versão da Bíblia King James demorou sete anos a terminar e grande parte dela foi construída a partir do trabalho de William Tyndale. A mesma versão da Bíblia estava agora nos lares e nas igrejas.

TEENSTREET 2008 in/em Oldenburg, Germany/Alemanha

TeenStreet was the holiday destination of some European and non-European Teenagers. Teenstreet foi o destino de férias de alguns jovens europeus e não europeus. Some had the opportunity to work as volunteers in the kitchen, in the security sector, as cleaning staff, to experiment with different art technics, play volley, football, do karaoke,make flip flops or African food, prepare non alcoholic cocktails, go to chat rooms, etc. Alguns tiveram a oportunidade de fazer trabalho voluntário em sectores como a cozinha, a segurança, a limpeza, de experimentar diferentes técnicas artísticas, practicar volley, futebol, fazer karaoke, chinelos ou comida africana, preparar cocktails sem alcool, participar em conversas temáticas, etc. All had the opportunity to learn more about the Bible in the morning and evening main sessions and also in their net groups, also to reflect on their relationship with God, to listen to and sing praise/worship music, to interact with people of 27 countries and take part in the Oldenburg outreach. Todos tiveram a oportunidade de aprender mais acerca da Bíblia nas sessões da manhã e da noite, nos grupos de partilha de ideias,também de reflectirem no relacionamento que têm com Deus, de ouvirem e cantarem música de louvor/adoração, de interagirem com pessoas de 27 países e participarem na Intervenção de rua em Oldenburg.
The purpose of TeenStreet is to motivate and equip Christian Teens to have a real friendship with Jesus and reflect Him in their world.
O alvo de TeenStreet é motivar e equipar adolescentes cristãos a terem uma verdadeira amizade com Jesus e a reflectirem-No no mundo ao seu redor.
TeenStreet is a ministry of OM (Operation Mobilisation), a non-profit organization over 50 years now. TeenStreet é um trabalho da responsabilidade da OM ( Operação Mobilização),uma organização sem fins lucrativos com uma história já de meio século.
