It is in the Bible that we can have details about the Ascension of Christ into heaven.

 Lucas/Luke 24: 50-53»
A Ascensão
50-53 Jesus levou-os pelo caminho de Betânia e, levantando as mãos para o céu, abençoou-os. Então afastou-se deles e elevou-se até ao céu. Eles adoraram-no e regressaram a Jerusalém, cheios de alegria. E estavam continuamente no templo, louvando Deus.

The Ascension
50 And He led them out as far as Bethany, and He lifted up His hands and blessed them. 51 Now it came to pass, while He blessed them, that He was parted from them and carried up into heaven. 52 And they worshiped Him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy, 53 and were continually in the temple praising and blessing God.

Atos/Acts 1: 9-11»

Jesus Ascends to Heaven
9 Now when He had spoken these things, while they watched, He was taken up, and a cloud received Him out of their sight. 10 And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as He went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel, 11 who also said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven.”

Christmas Decorations - Decorações de Natal

There is a lot of LIGHT at CHRISTMAS, because JESUS IS THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD.
( Gospel of John, chapter 8, verse 12 )
Há muita LUZ no NATAL, porque JESUS É A LUZ DO MUNDO.
Stars are central to the season because Jesus is called THE MORNING STAR, that came to put an end to the deep spiritual darkness that filled the souls of men.

LIFTED UP TO HEAVEN - ELEVADO AOS CÉUS

We can imagine that Jesus was lifted up...like a rocket... so, here is some craftwork......propulsion given by the Holy Spirit that resided in Him.
Still some wheat craftwork, because Jesus is the GRAIN of WHEAT that died, so that others may live for ever.
John 12: 24

Ascension Day - Dia da Ascensão

Celebrated this year on the 2nd June, it is the 40th Day of Easter. In Portugal it is also called " Wheat Day".
It reckons a most extrordinary event: Jesus being taken up to heaven before dozens of his disciples.

JESUS ' ASCENSION - ASCENSÃO DE JESUS - 5ª Feira de Espiga

Jesus: the Kernel of Wheat/o Grão de Trigo

Jesus' Ascension to heaven is celebrated 40 days after Easter. Before leaving He promised he would be back.

John 12:24 (New International Version)
I tell you the truth, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds.

Some Easter clouds - algumas nuvens da Páscoa

The cloud motif is associated with Easter because Jesus ascended to heaven on clouds and declared would be back on clouds.

The two other images illustrate Jesus' Ascension and His Second Coming.

As duas gravuras ilustram a Ascensão de Jesus e a Sua Segunda Vinda.
