Cain and Abel: A GIFT TO GOD with different heart attitudes

Both knew that God is Creator and Giver of all good things.
But Cain offered something from the land, because he was supposed to bow before God, in reverence.
Abel came to God with his heart full of gratitude and offered the fattest parts of his flock.
One offered out of obligation; the other, Abel, out of genuine love.
God noticed that and was pleased with Abel. Noticing jealousy in Cain, God warned him:
SIN LIES AT YOUR DOOR ( of your mind and heart ). If you do not control it, it will control you.
God let Cain know that he had the possibility to choose to do the right thing and not the wrong one.
When murdering his brother Abel, Cain was exercising his free will, the wrong way.
There are CHOICES to make, we are to decide for the right one.

Easter and Passover in Schools: The "Perfect Lamb" Season

A Páscoa Judaica e Cristã nas escolas: a época para lembrar a centralidade do "Cordeiro Perfeito", tema que ainda hoje é recordado através do prato principal de muitas refeições de Domingo de Páscoa: cabrito ou borrego assado.The " Perfect Lamb" relevance is still reminded nowadays in the main course of many families on Easter Sunday: roasted lamb.

O sangue do cordeiro sem falha alguma era aplicado sobre as ombreiras da porta da casa para impedir a morte de entrar com destruição. O cordeiro em si era comido pelos membros daquela casa como forma de dar a entender que o cordeiro fora sacrificado em benefício deles, para sua libertação.

The blood of that flawless lamb was applied on the doorsides and lintels to prevent death from entering the house causing destruction. The lamb was shared in the meal by the family members as a way to symbolize that the lamb had been sacrificed in their favour, to reach their deliverance.
