ONE GOOD NEWS AMONG so many bad news . UMA BOA NOTÍCIA no meio de todas as más notícias

credits owed to Liberty University

CHRIST JESUS,
the Man that came to suffer the penalty we would have never been able to pay.

No suffering or tragedy compares to eternal death.
We are unable to save ourselves.
That means separation from God: hell, excruciating suffering without endng.

But the HOLY PERFECT RIGHTEOUS GOD entered the history of mankind
as a
HOLY PERFECT ROGHTEOUS BABY BOY

JESUS was born WITHOUT SIN
JESUS lived WITHOUT SIN.
JESUS CHRIST accepted to live CARRYING THE PENALTY OF OUR SINS
and so...
made available ETERNAL LIFE TO EVERYONE that repents
and accepts His calling of submission to His Will.

http://teachsundayschool.com/i/adventcalendar/
Print out our templates on standard 8.5 X 11 computer paper (or get fancy and use red or green colored paper).
Help the kids cut & assemble a 25-link paper chain.
You only need paper, scissors, & a stapler (or tape) to assemble these advent calendars. Ages 4-16.
No Big Mess. The only “clean up” required is throwing paper scraps in a trash can.
Kids can snip off one link of their chain for each day of Advent and families can read the referenced scripture together as they celebrate the season!
Display your Names of Christ Advent Calendar!  As each day of Advent passes, remove one link of your chain and mark off one candle on the calendar.
Fun idea: Wrap your Christmas tree using the Names of Christ Advent as garland!

PENTECOST Sunday and Monday- Domingo e Segunda feira de Pentecostes

What is Pentecost?
O que é o Pentecostes?

Originally, Pentecost was a Jewish holiday held 50 days after Passover. One of three major feasts during the Jewish year, it celebrated Thanksgiving for harvested crops. However, Pentecost for Christians means something far different.
Before Jesus was crucified, he told his disciples that the Holy Spirit would come after him:
And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever — the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you. I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. John 14:16–18
And 40 days after Jesus was resurrected (10 days after he ascended into heaven), that promise was fulfilled when Christ followers were gathered in Jerusalem for the jewish Pentecost:
When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them. Acts 2:1–4
Pentecost Sunday falls this year on May 19. Below 10 things you should know about the holiday.
1. Pentecost Sunday marks the day when the Holy Spirit descended upon the Apostles.
2. Pentecost Sunday occurs 50 days after Easter.
3. The Bible records the Pentecost in Acts 2:1-13.
4. Pentecost comes 10 days after the Ascension of Jesus Christ.
5. Pentecost is also known as "the birthday of the Church".
6. Pentecost fulfills Jesus' promise to send the "Counselor" and "Spirit of Truth" in John 16-5-15.
7. Pentecost launches the large-scale spreading of the Gospel after Jesus' ascension. Acts 2:41 records that after Peter spoke to the crowd after receiving the Holy Spirit, some 3,000 people were baptized.
8. The Pentecostal movement derives its name from the New Testament event in Acts 2.
9. Jews also celebrate Pentecost, but not for the same reason as Christians. The celebration by Jews of Pentecost is to observe God giving the Ten Commandments on Mount Sinai 50 days after the Exodus. The Pentecost in Jewish tradition takes place 50 days after Passover.
10. In Western Churches, Pentecost is usually represented with the color red, which symbolizes the fire of the Holy Spirit.
