Aqui está uma representação da alusão feita no sermão a este texto,por alunos da Escola Secundária de Camilo Castelo Branco,exposta presentemente em montra da Direcção Geral de Lisboa e Vale do Tejo, em Lisboa. Here is an illustration of the Bible text as quoted in the sermon, made by pupils of the Secondary School of Camilo Castelo Branco. It is currently exhibited in a shopwindow of a Ministry of Education Department in Lisbon.
This sentence was said by Jesus Christ to His disciples in the Sermon of the Mountain, implying that they, as salt, had a special responsibility to fight corruption. Esta frase foi dita por Jesus Cristo no Sermão da Montanha, como forma de dar a entender aos Seus discípulos que tinham uma particular responsabilidade em contrariar a corrupção. Using the Bible sentence, Father António Vieira tries to raise people's awareness of their wrong doings. Usando a frase da Bíblia, o Padre António Vieira procura despoletar a consciência das pessoas para os erros cometidos.
