Here is a meningful suggestion for an Easter activity. Aqui apresentamos uma sugestão de actividade cheia do sentido da Páscoa. Foram escritos vários textos bíblicos ( http://www.biblegateway.com/ ) sobre a Celebração da Páscoa Judaica ( Êxodo ), a Entrada de Jesus em Jerusalém, a Última Ceia,a Agonia no Jardim de Getsemani, sobre os Julgamentos, a Humilhação, a Crucificação, o Sepultamento, a Ressurreição, a Ascensão e a Segunda Vinda de Cristo, já não para salvat, mas para julgar.
Several Bible texts were written ( http://www.biblegateway.com/ ) on the Passover meal, on the Entry of Jesus in Jerusalem, the Last Passahmeal/Supper, the Agony in the Gethsemane Garden, on the Trials, the Humiliation, the Crucifixion, the Entombment, on the Resurrection, the Ascension and the Second Coming of Christ, no more to save, but to judge.
Os textos foram escritos em várias línguas, em nuvens para dar relevo ao facto de que Jesus subiu aos céus nas nuvens e nas nuvens voltará. Aqui ficam algumas das árvores produzidas.

What is there in common between the Jewish and the Christian Easter?
Que existe de comum entre a Páscoa Judaica e Cristã?
A male, young, perfect, flawless lamb had to be sacrificed in order to bring deliverance to many; the blood of that lamb was a mark that kept death away from the firstborns. Um cordeiro macho, jovem, perfeito, sem falha alguma, teve de ser morto para se conseguir um meio de salvar muitos; o sangue desse cordeiro constituiu uma marca que manteve a morte afastada dos primogénitos. In the first Jewish Passover celebration ( when they were delivered from the over 4 hundred year captivity under the rule of Egypt ) the sacrificed lamb was a real lamb whose blood had to be put on their houses entrances and that the family was bound to eat together while death passed over Egypt to kill the oldest son of each family. Na primeira Páscoa Judaica ( celebração da libertação do jugo de cativeiro em que estavam há mais de 4 séculos no Egipto ), o cordeiro sacrificado era um cordeiro verdadeiro cujo sangue teve de ser colocado nas portas das suas casas e que a família teve de partilar como refeição enquanto a morte passava sobre o Egipto para matar o filho mais velho de cada família. No firstborn was killed in the houses marked by the blood of that special blood. Nenhum primogénito morreu nas casas marcadas pelo sangue daquele cordeiro especial.
In the first Christian Easter celebration ( the last supper ), short before Jesus' betrayal and crucifixion, the symbolical figure of the perfect lamb acquired a literal sense with Jesus presenting Himself as THE SACRIFICE IN FAVOUR OF ALL PEOPLE, as the God-sent-Lamb whose death defeated eternal death and managed to bring physical, emotional, spiritual deliverance to all those under the protection of His Blood.
Na primeira celebração da Páscoa Cristã ( a última ceia ), pouco antes da traição e crucificação de Jesus, a figura simbólica do cordeiro perfeito adquiriu significado literal com Jesus avançando como O SACRIFÍCIO EM FAVOR DE TODOS, como o Cordeiro-enviado-por-Deus, cuja morte conquistou a morte eterna e conseguiu libertação física, emocional, espiritual para os que se coloquem debaixo da protecção do Seu Sangue.

Crianças muito novinhas da Associação Filadélfia, depois de terem falado sobre a utilização da água nos seus quotidianos, aprenderam dois novos significados da palavra água ao visionar um excerto do filme o Príncipe do Egipto: o de barreira e o de saída.

Tapada das Mercês small pupils made some drawings on Jonah's life when he ignored God's instructions to go to Assyria to tell the inhabitants that they had to repent, change their attitude and evil works, not to be destroyed.Crianças da Escola Visconde de Juromenho ouviram o que se passara na vida de Jonas quando este ignorou a directriz de Deus para ir à Assíria avisá-los de que destruição lhes chegaria se não se arrependessem das suas obras vis e mudassem de atitude. Jonah, however, did not wish God to have mercy on them, he did not want them to be spared, and so he diobeyed... Jonas no entanto preferia que os inimigos do seu povo não fossem poupados, que Deus não exercesse misericórdia sobre eles e por isso desobedeceu....

This one is enjoyed by Lazarus, a man who had experienced little comfort or security in life, but had developed intimacy and trust in God. Esta é vivida por Lázaro, um homem que tinha experimentado pouco conforto ou segurança em vida, mas que desenvolvera intimidade e confiança em Deus. The other situation of "life" full of discomfort, torment, anguish, suffering...E uma outra situação de "vida" cheia de desconforto, tormento, angústia, sofrimento. They have one thing in common: they have no way back. Têm uma característica em comum: delas não há retrocesso. And between them there is a tremendous gulf that allows no passing over. E entre elas existe um abismo enorme que não permite passagem para o outro lado.Here we present a few drawings by 9th grade students of D.Dinis Secondary School in Lisbon, who had in Portuguese as mandatory reading the Auto da Barca do Inferno/ The Boat to Hell Drama, by Gil Vicente, a Portuguese playwrighter. Aqui apresentamos alguns desenhos feitos por alunos do 9º ano da Escola Secundária D.Dinis, em Lisboa, que leram em Português, como leitura obrigatória, o Auto da Barca do Inferno, de Gil Vicente. In this drama no character wanted to go to hell, but the majority did. Neste drama nenhum dos personagens queria ir para o inferno, mas a maioria foi. In Jesus' narrative, the powerful man, in hell, wishes he had never gone there. Na narrativa de Jesus, o homem poderoso, no inferno, deseja nunca ter vindo parar àquele lugar. This man, who had been a VIP in life, was after his death totaly unable to change his suffering situation. Este homem, que tinha sido importante, influente na vida, vê-se totalmente incapaz de alterar a sua condição de sofrimento. His decisions on earth had unchangeable consequences in life after physical death. As suas decisões em vida trouxeram-lhe consequências imutáveis na vida após a morte física. Away from God in life on earth, away from God in life after death. Tendo estado afastado de Deus na vida, permaneceu afastado de Deus na vida depois da morte. No way back. Sem retrocesso.

Colégio Valsassina: WALKING through the WATERS or on the WATERS - Caminhando ATRAVÉS das águas ou SOBRE as águas

Fifth year of 90 minutes ATB Task at Colégio Valsassina, Lisbon/ 5º ano de Tarefa ATB de 90 minutos no Colégio Valsassina, Lisboa. A 9th grade class of Colégio Valsassina listened to 3 Bible texts related to water. Two of them were viewed in class by linking to YouTube presentations. Uma turma de 9º ano do Colégio Valsassina ouviu 3 narrativas bíblicas relacionadas com a água. Duas delas foram visionadas em apresentações YouTube. Next they made their illustration of one of the texts told/viewed and wrote a few titles/subtitles in English too. Depois passou-se à fase da ilustração e escrita de títulos/legendas também em Inglês. The whole work was done in English all the time, as usual. O trabalho foi desenvolvido todo em Inglês, como é usual.

The Bible texts handled were THE CROSSING OF THE RED SEA ( Old Testament ) and JESUS WALKS ON WATER and JESUS CALMS DOWN THE STORM ( New Testament ). Os textos bíblicos trabalhados foram: A TRAVESSIA DO MAR VERMELHO ( Antigo Testamento ) e JESUS CAMINHA SOBRE A ÁGUA e JESUS ACALMA A TEMPESTADE ( Novo Testamento ). TAREFA ATB TASK - COLÉGIO MONTE FLOR -

Several domains where water is used were mentioned by the children and the need to use it with responsibility was underlined. Several Bible texts referring to water were reminded, specially the Dialogue between Jesus and the samaritan woman dealing with two meanings of water: drinkable water and Living Water. Drinkable water can quench our thirst for a few hours only; the Living Water becomes itself a spring of water gushing up to eternal life.
Foi mencionada a importância da água no nosso quotidiano e a responsabilidade que cabe a todos nós ao dela fazermos uso. Vários textos bíblicos sobre água foram referidos, tendo sido dado especial relevo ao Diálogo entre Jesus e a Mulher samaritana, sobre dois sentidos da palavra água: a que serve para matar a sede por algumas horas e a que se torna uma fonte que sacia para sempre.

EB1 nº 159, Lisboa - The Talk between Jesus and the Samaritan woman - A Conversa entre Jesus e a Mulher Samaritana

Children from Escola Básica 1 nº 159 worked on two different meanings of water. Crianças da EB1, 159, trabalharam dois significados diferentes da água. The woman from Samaria meant simple, common drinkable water she needed every day, for her personal needs and her housework chores. A mulher de Samaria estava a falar da água comum, visível, que lhe era necessária dia após dia para as suas necessidades pessoais e da casa. Jesus was referring to spiritual water given by Him that once it begins to flood within a person satisfies continuously and jumps over to eternal life; the person won't be thirsty anymore. Jesus referiu-se à água espiritual, invisível, dada por Ele, mas que desde que comece a fluir dentro do ser humano sacia para sempre a sede interior, saltando para a eternidade.
