Students and Teachers from 24 Portuguese schools have contributed in the 2007/2008 school year with illustrations and texts on Bible narratives. An Exhibition documenting some of these outcomes is available at the Parque das Nações Portuguese Institute of Youth, in Lisbon, till 14th November.Come and have a look!

The central topic of last year was personal relationships associated to that of trees. The same as people, trees are recognised by their fruits. A good tree produces good fruit. O tema central do ano passado eram as relações interpessoais associadas ao tema das árvores. Tal como as árvores, também as pessoas se conhecem pelos ses frutos.

Coping with water scarcity - The challenge of the 21st century Enfrentando a escassez de água - O desafio do século XXI
The United Nations, at its 58th session, proclaimed 2005 to 2015 as the International Decade for Action - Water for Life. This recommendation calls for a greater focus on water-related issues and for actions to ensure participation in water-related development efforts to achieve water-related goals: to halve by 2015 the proportion of people who are unable to reach or afford safe drinking water and who do not have access to basic sanitation.As Nações Unidas, na sua 58ª sessão,proclamou os anos de 2005 a 2015 como a Década da Acção - Água para Vida. Esta recomendação vem dar maior relevo a questões da água e a iniciativas que assegurem a participação em esforços que visem atingirem-se os alvos delineados para a área da água:descer para metade, até 2015, a proporção de pessoas que não têm acesso a água potável ou a saneamento básico.
This calls for international cooperation, intercultural dialogue, compassion for some, discipline and sacrifice from others.
Tal requer cooperação internacional, diálogo intercultural, compaixão para com uns, sacrifício da parte de outros.

ATB-AcrossTheBible at D.Dinis School associated with ENO ( Environment online ) and the Let the Forest Live Club of the school to plant new trees in the open areas. The AcrossTheBible project is enlarging its Bible Garden at the D.Dinis school with a new OLIVE TREE and other types of trees.

Expo 2008, an international exposition held from June 14 through September 14 this year in Zaragoza, Spain, with more than 100 countries, also NGOs represented by pavilions. The theme of the international show, "Water and Sustainable Development," aimed at a very important issue in today's world-the problem of water.
O tema da mostra internacional, " A Água e o Desenvolvimento Sustentável", focou uma questão bastante importante no mundo:de hoje o problema da água.
This year, it included a pavilion by the evangelical community in Spain called "Living Water." The name of the Pavilion comes from a New Testament text: Talk of Jesus to the Samaritan Woman, Gospel of John, chapter 4.

In the Greek AcrossTheBible across Europe school older grammar school students made research motivated by this Bible narrative, led by their teacher Ms Ioanna Komninou, who afterwards presented the experiment in a national conference. Na escola grega do projecto AcrossTheBible across Europe um grupo de alunos finalistas do liceu partiram desta narrativa bíblica para fazerem trabalho de pesquisa orientado pela sua professora, Ioanna Komninou, que posteriormente deu a conhecer a prática inovadora em conferência nacional.

A good number of famous classical composers got their inspiration from Bible texts. There is one here on king Saul's life by Handel. Muitas das mais famosas composições de autores clássicos foram inspiradas em textos da Bíblia. Neste caso, a vida do rei Saul foi um tema trabalhado por Handel.
Haydn also took topics of the Bible to inspire his compositions. In this case the topic chosen was CREATION ( " Schöpfung " in German ).Neste caso foi sobre a CRIAÇÃO ( "Schöpfung" em alemão ).
In the 21st century, the contemporary singer, coreographer, songwriter Nicolle C. Mullen tells us in a few words the episode of the sick woman that came, desperate, to Jesus in search for the solution to her disease. The constant bleeding for many years had made her spend all her money in search for the right treatment. When the woman came to Jesus, the bleeding stopped. No século XXI, a cantora, coreógrafa, compositora contemporânea Nicolle C. Nullen, conta-nos em poucas palavras o episódio em que uma mulher vem ter com Jesus, desesperada, em busca de solução para a sua doença. A doença, que a afligira ano após ano, fizera-a gastar todos os seus rendimentos. Ao tocar em Jesus, a hemorragia parou.

TeenStreet was the holiday destination of some European and non-European Teenagers. Teenstreet foi o destino de férias de alguns jovens europeus e não europeus. Some had the opportunity to work as volunteers in the kitchen, in the security sector, as cleaning staff, to experiment with different art technics, play volley, football, do karaoke,make flip flops or African food, prepare non alcoholic cocktails, go to chat rooms, etc. Alguns tiveram a oportunidade de fazer trabalho voluntário em sectores como a cozinha, a segurança, a limpeza, de experimentar diferentes técnicas artísticas, practicar volley, futebol, fazer karaoke, chinelos ou comida africana, preparar cocktails sem alcool, participar em conversas temáticas, etc. All had the opportunity to learn more about the Bible in the morning and evening main sessions and also in their net groups, also to reflect on their relationship with God, to listen to and sing praise/worship music, to interact with people of 27 countries and take part in the Oldenburg outreach. Todos tiveram a oportunidade de aprender mais acerca da Bíblia nas sessões da manhã e da noite, nos grupos de partilha de ideias,também de reflectirem no relacionamento que têm com Deus, de ouvirem e cantarem música de louvor/adoração, de interagirem com pessoas de 27 países e participarem na Intervenção de rua em Oldenburg.
